
Jack Deka
National Coordinator
With over seven years of experience in socio-economic planning, youth development, and data-driven programme management. Jack is a PhD Research Fellow in sustainability, and holds an MSc in Project Management, Jack specialises in designing and evaluating initiatives that empower young people through sport, life-skills training, and community engagement. Jack has collaborated with local government agencies and social impact organizations including the Rachel Kundananji Foundation, using sport as a catalyst for youth capacity building and social change.

Katongo Tiyaonse
Research Fellow
Katongo has a strong background in policy analysis, program evaluation, and applied research. With a decade of experience, Katongo has worked on sports sponsorship projects that use sport as a tool for social inclusion, positive youth development, and mindset transformation. She has collaborated extensively with the Zambia Volleyball Association, the University of Zambia, Seoul National University, Sports Impact Network, to design and evaluate sports intervention programs that are measurable, sustainable, and scalable.

Kaoma Lombe
Junior Research Fellow
Kaoma holds a BA in Economics and Managment and was awarded as overall best graduating economics student, Lusaka University, 2025. As a trainee researcher and policy analyst, he is focused on economic research, revenue mobilization, and governance, with particular interest in development finance and institutional performance. He focuses on data collection, desk reviews, quantitative analysis, and report writing, translating complex findings into clear and practical insights and ensuring research is accessible to a diversity of audiences. In his past internship, Kaoma has contributed to research and advisory work that supports evidence-based decision making towards public sector efficiency and economic development.

Mwamba Kapambwe
Research Fellow
Mwamba is a highly experienced social worker with over 15 years of progressive leadership and community service experience. Mwamba is a PhD Researcher in Social Work, at the University of Zambia. She specializes in managing social programs, community development, child protection, training caregivers, and advocating for child welfare and disability inclusion. Her expertise spans project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and data‑driven program management. Mwamba has worked at overseeing local government human resource and administration, strategic planning, business development and client relationships. Her experience spans enterprises, community non-profit organisations, and local government.

Racheal Kalaba, PhD
Snr Research Fellow
Dr. Rachael Kalaba is a scholar, educator, and changemaker whose work sits at the intersection of African women’s leadership, Indigenous knowledge systems, and Ubuntu-nse theory. She holds a PhD in Adult Education and Community Development from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto, with a specialization in Women and Gender Studies.
A 2025 Echidna Global Scholar at the Brookings Institution, Dr. Kalaba leads policy-focused research on Indigenous leadership pathways for girls in rural Zambia. Her groundbreaking framework — Ubuntu Womanism — reclaims African Indigenous leadership traditions as tools for gender justice and community transformation.
She is the founder of ZAMWILL, an organization advancing girls’ education and leadership in Zambia, and is a recognized voice in international education policy and named among Canada’s Top 100 Black Women to Watch (2023).

Lombe Mwambwa, PhD

Lombe works on issues of inequality and development in Zambia and internationally within sport and in sport as a means of addressing inequalities in society. Her research, advocacy, and practice is focused on themes including health, safeguarding and leadership. Her experience includes policy engagement and knowledge mobilisation. Over two decades she has led several local, regional, and global organisations in the sport for good sector during their startup phase contributing to founding and take off.

Bernadette Deka-Zulu

Bernadette is a respected public policy and governance leader with over 15 years of experience working at the highest levels of national, regional, and international development. She has long experience in policy engagement, thinktank development, policy evidence mobilisation, and advocacy. She holds an MA in Economic Policy Management and an Exec MBA in Business Administration. She has a lifelong commitment to community service, equity, and inclusive development through her various civil society, corporate, and political roles and institutions.

Savior Mwambwa
Co-Founder & Director
Savior is a seasoned development and economic policy professional with over 20 years of experience. With more than a decade dedicated to economic justice issues particularly tax policy, illicit financial flows, and international financial architecture. Savior has built an impressive track record in civil society advocacy and grassroots organization development. His leadership experience includes serving as Interim Director of the Washington-based Financial Transparency Coalition (FTC), Tax Campaign Manager at ActionAid’s International Secretariat in Johannesburg, Policy and Advocacy Manager at the Tax Justice Network-Africa (TJN-A) in Nairobi, and Executive Director of the Centre for Trade Policy and Development (CTPD) in Zambia.

Davie Mulenga
Director & Research Adviser
Davie Mulenga, MS, PT, is a physical therapist with over 20 years of experience at the University Teaching Hospital in Zambia. He has served as sports physical therapist for the Zambia National Soccer Team for 16 years, covering five Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, and was Lead Physiotherapist for Zambia at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Olympic Games, as well as the 2018 All Africa Games. Davie collaborates with international universities, including Saint Louis University, University of Alabama, and University of Saint-Étienne, to advance evidence-based practice in Zambia. He has published in leading journals such as the British Journal of Sports Medicine and The Lancet, with additional manuscripts under review. He coordinated a multi-country African injury surveillance project in 2023 and presented at the IOC World Conference on Injury and Illness in Sport. He serves on national and international sports physiotherapy committees.
