National Sport Policy, 2024

The Policy document is divided into five Chapters: Chapter One highlights the introduction to the Policy. Chapter Two is the Situation Analysis which provides a critical review of the current situation regarding the development and status of the sport sector. Chapter Three outlines the Vision, Rationale and Guiding Principles of the Policy. Chapter Four specifies the objectives and policy measures required to implement the National Sport Policy. Chapter Five gives the Implementation Framework, which includes the Institutional Arrangements, Legal Framework, Resource Mobilization and Financing as well as Monitoring and Evaluation of the Policy.

National Sport Policy Implementation Plan
The Plan includes activities, indicators, targets, responsible institutions, and costs over a four year period (2024-2028). The plan aims to operationalise the National Sport Policy through:
- Sport contribution to social and economic development
- Inclusiveness in sport
- Sport infrastructure development
- Community sport, recreation, and health
- Incentives and awards
- High performance at regional, continental, and international events
- Physical education and sport
- Sport education and training
- Integrity in sport
- Safeguarding athletes
- Research and development in sport
- Legal framework

Standard Operating Procedure for Community Sport for Local Authorities, 2024

This Standard Operating Procedure provides a framework to guide local authorities in implementing community sport programs. It considers the diverse roles of stakeholders involved in sports development at the community level. Ultimately, this SOP aims to facilitate the growth of grassroots sports and encourage widespread participation.

The Sports Council of Zambia Act

An Act to establish the Sports Council of Zambia; to define the functions and powers of the Council; to provide for the registration and affiliation to the Council of all national sports associations; to repeal the National Sports Council of Zambia Act; and to provide for matters connected with or incidental to the foregoing.
